WELCOME!

Hi! I'm Mrs. Filipowicz! I am so excited for this school year! I have been working in the education field for four years. I am thrilled to be your child's teacher! This school year will be filled with fun, lots of learning, and new adventures!

I am the homeroom teacher for 7th  grade.  I am also teaching

Science for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and Social Studies for 6t h and 7th grade.

THIS YEAR

This year the students will meet their goals primarily through collaborative project   based learning and interactive notebooks. Both of these are designed to help students learn through engagement and teamwork.

GOALS

Social Studies Goals: 

1.  To make social studies relevant while learning to analyze history and apply the insights to today's culture. 

 2.  For the student to gain comprehension and respect for cultures and perspectives that are different from their own

Science Goal:

To have provoking intellectual encounters with inquiry problems involving project-based student centered investigative activities. The goal of preparing the student for future science courses.
